A blending of skeletons and torso, brains, bodies, de Jong’s anonymous naked figures interact with each other through ambiguous gestures of sex or violence. What exactly is going on here? Is this an orgy where the participants are humans and ghosts? These expressionistic drawings evoke a nightmare where the pain of loneliness is equated to the pain of human interaction.
